Pooja for Dheerga Sumangali Life/Eternal Married Life/Husband Long Life is a kind of the religious and the traditional ritual that is performed to invoke the blessings of the God Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is usually performed for the women who are married and are leading the Sumangali life. For each caste, creed and religion in the Hinduism, this pooja will be considered and followed up in different ways. It is mandatory for someone who performs this pooja should be aware of the concept called the Kudumba sampradayam which is otherwise called the family tradition. Usually performed in the house and the number of Sumangali should be 1, 3, etc. (i.e. the odd numbers). Sumangali can be invited from outside the family or house as well in order to maintain the odd number of the same. Prior to performing this, oil, shikai etc will be provided to them for the oil bath. The pooja can also be performed prior to a few days of the marriage.
