Description
This particular temple is located in a small village called Kooram, which is at an approximate distance of 8 to 9 Kilo meters away from the placeKanchipuram and 77 Kilo meters away from Chennai. The chief deity of this temple is ShriAadhiKeshavaPerumaland is facing towards the east direction. The other deities that reside here along with him are Shri Devi, ShriBhoomi Devi. Shri Devi &ShriBhoomidevi are in the standing position. The temple also contains sanadhis for ShriAndal, ShriNamazhwaar, ShriVishwaksenar, ShriThiruMangaiChakrathalwar and ShriNarsimha. Kooratazeshwar is an incarnation of Lord Ram. He is the greatest example of humbleness and guru bhakti. The temple:
With wooden doors, pillars &roofs form part of the temple, it is sure that it is built in Dravidian system of architecture. The lord resides on its snake couch & there are three doors through which the lord is viewed, going by present existent legends, thisshrine is closely linkedto the famous Thiruvananthapuram. Nammalvar has known to sing 11 pasurams to praise LordAdiKesavaSwamy.The GodAdiKesavaSwamysymbolizes 'Foremost Friend'. Legend says demon Kesi was defeated by Lord AdiKesavaSwamy. Demon's wife pleaded to the River Ganges and also to River Thamirabarani & created destruction, but it went in vain and she succumbed to the Lord. Hence, the generation of the rivers made in a circle came to be called as Thiruvattaru.
History
BoodhaGanas was ankind of military division of God Shiva's empire, who persuadedGod Vishnu for solace from an imprecation by Lord Shiv. Lord Vishnu hence, built a spring at this place by a serpent which was named as Ananha (Lord AnanthaTheertham). Heprovideddarshan to Bhoodas from the bank and relaxed the curse on them. BoodhaGanas, out of gratitude and resppect erected a temple for God Vishnu. Hence, this place is also called Bhoodhapuri and Lord is calledAdikesavaPerumal.

The most important festival is the month of February and March is MasiPooram&in the month of March & April is PanguniUthiram.Tirumanjanam is also simultaneously enjoyed on the last Friday following PanguniTirumanjanam is also simultaneously performed by the visitors for GodAdikesavaPerumal, Sri Andal, Mother YathirajaValli, and Acharya Sri Ramanuja.VaikuntaEkadesi is enjoyed & celebrated with gandure and glory. Aval .PaalPayasami.eMilk Kheer, and Appam are mouth wateringprasadams at the temple. The pujas are conducted in same fashion of ShriPadmanabhaswammy temple in Thiruvananthapuram.
