Description
This is an extremely sacred temple and attracts devotees from all over the country. Kethu Bhagwaan blesses this temple and is believed to help devotees who come with a true heart. However, the presiding deity in the temple is Lord Shiva, who is known as Lord Naganatha Swamy here.
History
Lord Kethu faces west in the north praharam in this temple. Lord Kethu appears with the body in his divine form. It is believed that offering pooja to the Lord Kethu at Keezhperumpallam with Red Lilly, Kollu (horse gram), and cloth will get relieved from illness.
Importance/Significance
Kethu Bhagwaan has the head of a snake and a body of an asura. It is an extremely rare sight to see him with his head. Kethu Bhagwaan prayed to Lord Shiva to forgive him of his sins. Lord Kethu is seen here folding hands and worshipping Lord Shiva.
