Gnana Saraswati Temple is a Hindu temple of Goddess Saraswati located on the banks of Godavari river at Basar, Telangana, India. . Saraswati is the Hindu Goddess of knowledge and learning.Maha Saraswathi Amman Temple is located in Tamil Nadu. It is situated in a town called Koothanur. Since the temple is existing from ancient times, the period of this temple could not be fixed accurately.Sri Sharadamba Temple is a famous Hindu temple located in the town of Shringeri. History
It is believed that Ottakoothan, a mortal, once sought the blessings of the Goddess Saraswati and Lord Pillayar to grant him the gift of the ability to compose poems. He used bath in the river Harisol every day and used to worship the Goddess.As per the Tale, Alangudi is position where God Shiva drank the dangerous poison produced during the rolling of 'paarkadal' (Sea of milk). Hence this position is identified as Alangudi (basically means 'the position where God Shiva absorbed the dangerous poison'. The temple was built in the 8th-century, and was founded by Sri Adi Shankaracharya. Originally it was an unpretentious shrine with the Murti of Sharada made of sandalwood, installed over the Sri Chakra that Sri Adi Shankaracharya carved on a rock. Subsequently, Sri Bharati Krishna Tirtha and Sri Vidyaranya had a temple built in the Kerala style, with timber and tiled roof.

Along with her, Goddesses Lakshmi and Parvathi too came by in this river and hence we can get the blessings of the basic grace of them all-Adhisakthi.During Jagadguru's fiftieth birthday, doors made of gold were installed and inaugurated at the entrance of the sanctum of the temple.
Festivals/Events/Gatherings
On Saraswati Puja and Vijayadasami, the idol is taken out for a procession on the swan. Particularly, devotees worship directly the beautifully decorated extended feet of the goddess on Saraswati Puja Day. On the eve of Vijaya Dasami, children begin by worshipping the goddess.Unique Darshans are organized on Thursdays as well as on the times of Jupiter's transportation to next Zodiac. Mashi Maham, (month of Aquaris between 12th of Feb and 14th of March) (Mashi Mah Gurvara dharshana ). 1008 Conch Abhisheka – Event (Reethathotsavam) on the Tenth day & Laksharachana during Jupiter transportation times are celebrated. Poojas performed at night are very popular in this holy place.Navaratri festival is celebrated every year for 11 days. The Shathachandi Homa is performed on Mahanavami. On the Chaitra Shukla Poornima, a special puja is offered in the Sri Sharada Shrine. On Vaisaka Krishna Prathipath Mahabhishekam and special puja is done for Sri Sharadambal. On Karthika Poornima, a Deepotsava is organised in the shrine. On the eve of Magha Shukla Panchami, Lalitha Panchami is celebrated with special Puja performed to Sri Sharadamba by the Jagadguru. On the Magha Krishna Dwithiya special Puja to Sri Sharadamba is performed by the Jagadguru. On the Magha Trithiya Sri Sharadamba Rathotsava is celebrated.
