History
According to Legend, there was once a dispute between the Devas and the Sages about some postulates in the Vedas. They worshipped Lord Shiva for a solution and then Lord Shiva arrived and resolved the dispute between both parties. Hence, the legend was established that this temple is very apt for those who are struggling in court cases or legal lawsuits.
Importance/Significance
Valakarutheeswarar means "The God who demolishes cases". Hence, the significance of this temple is to conduct pujas to get people out of the troubles in legal cases and lawsuits.
