Mahalaya Amavasya, also known as Pitru Paksha Amavasya, marks the culmination of the 16-day period dedicated to honoring our ancestors through rituals and offerings. It’s believed that the souls of our ancestors reside on Earth during this time, accepting our offerings and bestowing blessings.
