The Nacharamgutta Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is located amidst the scenic Nacharamgutta, a location that is based in Medhak. Medhak is lies in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. History
The temple is of immense archaeological and historical significance. It can be dated to several hundred years ago. Importance/Significance
The presiding deity of the Nacharamgutta Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple has said to have incarnated entirely by itself. This form of self-incarnation is termed as swayambhu. The swayambhu idol and the goddess Laxmi are seen to be carved in a rock, along with several other idols of gods and goddesses in the prime most area of the temple.
Facts/Mythology
The temple is rather intriguing and has several bits that rouse the curiosity of those interested in history and devotion throughout the ages in a culturally and religiously diverse nation such as India. As we take a stroll around the premises of the temple, we chance upon the several gods and saints that have been worshipped in this temple throughout the temple. The ones that we initially see upon taking a left turn is the idol of Soorya Narayana. The Idol is facing eastwards, looking over the rising sun. The sun was widely worshipped in the past and still is. Seen at most holy locations, ther lies a peepal tree in the temple premises. Devotees that visit the temple are encouraged to conduct pradakshinas around the tree. It is said to be beneficial to the bhakts, as the peepal tree has long stood as a symbol for enlightenment and wisdom.Moving ahead, we witness two rock structures with a passage in between. Upon entering, several devotees are surprised to witness relics of a time that worshipped Sri Sai Baba with all devotion. The temple stands in all its glory, attracting several hundreds of devotees daily that come to pay their respects and seek blessings from Sai Baba.An idol of the great lord Dattatreya can be witnessed at the back of the temple.Upon climbing down a few steps, one can witness a unique shrine. The shrine is built specifically for the worship of Lord Shiva. The sanctum of this temple comprises of a holy Shiva Linga which is religiously tended to by the bhakts.

The temple premises are replete with structures and pictures that show the devotion the visitors have for several gods and goddesses. Apart from the Shivalinga, the idol of Sathyanaranay Swami and Sri Sai Baba, there also lie sanctums for deities such as Rama and Sita, Bairavar and the presiding deity of the temple, Swyambhu Narahima Swami himself.Likewise, the festivals celebrated here include Ram Navami, Navratri, Sai chaturdashi, etc; wherein the temple premises are flodded with individuals that travel from all parts of the state.
