Description
Located in the Tiruparamkundram village in the Madurai district of the Tamil Nadu state, the temple is very much dedicated to the devotion of the Subramanian Swamy or is otherwise called as the Lord Muruga. The exact location of the temple is around 12 kilometers away from the Madurai town that indicates that the temple is pretty much connected by the various cities of the states.
History
The history of the temple is taken back to the ages where one of the most famous saints got the real view of the lord Murugan here in this divine place. It is after this belief that the temple was constructed here at this location giving importance to the Subrahnmianian Swamy who was utilizing the peacock as his vehicle. The temple is believed to be built around 2000 years ago and is the same from its beginning till date without any polishing works. There was a famous hill place that was popularly called as the Gandhamandanam where the temple is expected to be located.
