Once upon a time, mannarayana murthy was on Sesapanpu and Mahalakshmi was resting close to his feet in the sea of milk. He asked her to tell him if she had anything in her mind, and if she did, he told her to tell him, he said he would perform whatever she wanted for her. She reciprocated by saying that having him as her husband is a blessing but there are very few holy places that are left in the world, today and their followers are unable to go there as they will have to incur a lot of expenditure. The followers were facing many difficulties without the blessings of God, so she requested him to develop a holy place for their followers. Lord accepted her request.God asked Vanamala to design a magnificent hill on the surface of the earth and as a result of this, he transformed it into Malakonda. One was able to view distinct types of trees, birds, and animals here. This Malyadri consists of huge stones and mountains that are of various shapes and sizes.
